The NeuroField Bootcamp Training 5-Day Immersion is more than just a refresher for clinicians who have completed training in the past. This seminar is designed to get clinicians and technicians up to speed on the use of noise (pink/ brown/white) in the clinical application of stimulation, creating your own customized protocols for your clients. This intensive experience will challenge you and help you advance your knowledge in the field of neuromodulation and neurostimulation. 

In addition, this deep dive takes you beyond simple EEG and QEEG analysis into the advanced techniques of Independent Components Analysis and Event Related Potential testing, for a higher level of applied computational neuroscience.  

Designed with clinicians of all levels in mind, this introductory course will teach you multiple techniques and procedures through didactic lecture and hands-on training.  

Dr. Nicholas Dogris and Dr. Tiff Thompson will teach you advanced neurostimulation, analysis, and neurofeedback procedures from the ground up.  

Training will begin with demonstration of how to use the EEG software platform, including raw analysis and the generation of quantitative data in the form of power analyses and Independent Components Analysis. This process is the first step in the decision tree of how to treat the condition at hand. The bootcamp combines a series of forms of neuromodulation:  

• Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field stimulation (pEMF),  
• Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS),  
• Transcranial alternating current stimulation(tACS), 
• Photobiomodulation (PBM) 
• Pink Noise and Brown Noise, 
• Transcranial random noise stimulation stimulation (tRNS) modalities.

This is the first step in the certification process for many budding clinicians. This is like earning a Bachelor’s degree in the field of neurotherapy. This credential signals to the world that you have done the hard work to learn what the field of neurotherapy is all about (by taking a 36-hour course), including proficient use of equipment on clients (100 hours), experiencing of neurotherapy from the client’s chair (10+ sessions), and receiving mentorship from a BCIA-certified professional in the field (25 hours).  

BCN-T (Board Certified in Neurotherapy for Technician) 

A neurotherapy technician is a non-licensed practitioner who is working under a BCIA-certified, medically-licensed practitioner (types of medically licensed neurotherapists include psychologists, marriage and family therapists, professional clinical counselors, registered nurses, medical doctors, chiropractors and acupuncturists).   

This certification is only valid while the technician is working under a licensed and certified professional. 

BCIA Board Certification Education

The fast track program offers the education necessary for Board certification in neurotherapy. We offer the 25 hours of mentorship separtely, as do many skilled mentors in the field of neurotherapy. Many budding neurotherapists work within a practice to learn equipment use and receive mentorship, though online options are allowed per the BCIA rules. BCN Certification

To Earn the BCN credential, you must demonstrate a Bachelor’s level degree in a health care related field. Approved health care fields include: psychotherapy, psychology, nursing, (including 2-year registered nurses with license; not including LVNs or LPNs), physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation, social work, counseling, chiropractic, exercise physiology, recreational therapy, speech pathology, physician’s assistant (proof of certification or license needed), and sports medicine.

The following fields require a master’s degree: music therapy and counseling education (M.Ed. in counseling). Appropriately credentialed doctors of medicine are also accepted. Degrees in health care fields other than those listed above must be submitted to the Certification Review Committee. BCIA will consider requests for special review for the demonstration of equivalency for most of our requirements, including prerequisite education. This case studies group for beginners is an online forum where clinicians present their toughest cases. Available to all, but tailored to those new to EEG and QEEG.

Whether you are just starting out, or seasoned, you can benefit from this focused discussion. In these recorded sessions, Dr. Tiff Thompson will walk through raw data, assessment modalities (EEGLab and all its accouterments, WinEEG, software application ERP, Independent Components Analysis, software application EEG, Neuroguide, etc.), and then discuss the current-day thought process involved with protocol selection. 

This is an easy way to be apprised of the newest means of computational neuroanalysis, as well as neuromodulation interventions, the latest software/equipment innovations, neurostimulation protocols, neurofeedback, biofeedback bells and whistles, treatment modalities, and other tips and tricks that keep us excited. We really slow down the pace in this beginner's course. Tiff will walk you through real clinical cases and teach you how to read the raw EEG, spot and interpret artifacts, recognize conditions' profiles, read EEG in context, spot spikes, sharps and epileptiform content, and develop a treatment plan based on the findings. 

This 10-week program is for those who are just beginning to read and interpret EEG data. Each week, learn how to identify EEG signatures, utilize brain-analysis software, and connect this data to pathologies and patient symptoms.
