This credential signals to the world that you have done the hard work to learn what the field of neurotherapy is all about (by taking a 36-hour course), including proficient use of equipment on clients (100 hours), experiencing of neurotherapy from the client’s chair (10+ sessions), and receiving mentorship from a BCIA-certified professional in the field (25 hours). Â
BCN-T (Board Certified in Neurotherapy for Technician)Â
A neurotherapy technician is a non-licensed practitioner who is working under a BCIA-certified, medically-licensed practitioner (types of medically licensed neurotherapists include psychologists, marriage and family therapists, professional clinical counselors, registered nurses, medical doctors, chiropractors and acupuncturists).  Â
This certification is only valid while the technician is working under a licensed and certified professional.Â

Many budding neurotherapists work within a practice to learn equipment use and receive mentorship, though online options are allowed per the BCIA rules.
