About
The School of Neurotherapy is the joint venture of Dr. Dogris and Dr. Thompson, whose mission is to bring high-quality, comprehensive training to the field of Neurotherapy through the three pillars of Education, Technology, and Application.
Welcome to the School of Neurotherapy
The School of Neurotherapy was established to help new and seasoned clinicians navigate their way to becoming bona fide neurotherapists. Inspiration for the formation of the school came from the plight of many new neurotherapists—who were challenged to find pathways to information and understanding of software, hardware, certifications, neurofeedback, biofeedback, locating a mentor, and more.
The school has developed over the years from offering neuromodulation bootcamps and advanced in-person courses to providing a larger variety of courses, classes, study groups, lectures, certification course work, and more, to enhance the experience of new and seasoned clinicians to elevate their practice to the next level.
We are based in Santa Barbara, California, teaching online and traveling to assist clinicians across the globe with whatever they need and desire to advance their practice and advance the well-being and health of their patients.
Tiff Thompson,
Ph.D., QEEGD, BCN, LMFT
Tiff Thompson Ph.D., QEEGD, BCN, LMFT is a clinical neuroscientist, licensed therapist, educator, and technologist. She is the founder and owner of the Santa Barbara clinic, NeuroField Neurotherapy, where she offers quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG)-based functional brain consulting to clinicians. She has worked in neurology clinics, as well as clinical settings, and has taught in kindergarten to university settings.
Tiff has served as the Executive Director of the Western Association of Biofeedback and Neuroscience. She holds two master’s degrees, one in Depth Counseling Psychology and another in Rhetoric. She has a PhD in Psychology; her dissertation was on the intersection of psychodynamic psychology model of the psyche and electroencephalography (EEG). She is board certified in neurotherapy and a licensed diplomate of quantitative EEG.
She teaches neuromodulation and neurofeedback courses nationally and internationally for NeuroField, Inc. with her husband, Nicholas Dogris. She also organizes and hosts a yearly conference in Santa Barbara for neurotherapy practitioners. She is the creator of an online educational platform: The School of Neurotherapy, which runs three separate curricula: Quantitative EEG Didactic training, Board Certification in Neurotherapy Didactic training, and Neuromodulation education. Tiff regularly delivers public lectures on all things concerning neurodiagnostics and the clinical application of neurostimulation.
Nicholas Dogris,
Ph.D., BCN, QEEG-D
Dr. Dogris is also founder of NeuroField, a hardware and software company that focuses on neuromodulation devices, such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), transcranial random current stimulation (tRNS), transcranial pink noise current stimulation (tPNS), and pulsed electromagnetic frequencies. These stimulation modalities combined with neurofeedback create a state-of-the-art system and treatment modality. Dr. Dogris began teaching neuromodulation to clinicians in 2010, after developing the first NeuroField device: a pEMF unit. The NeuroField company has since taken off – featuring a robust software called Neurofield 64, as well as a series of hardware devices and Neurotherapy machinery that make up what NeuroField, Inc. is today.
Dr. Dogris is the brain behind the NeuroField system (along with his engineer business partner, Brad Wiitala). The NeuroField training modules are drawn from the hard work Dr. Dogris and Brad Wiitala have poured into the NeuroField system since 2008.
